2012 has been one of the wettest years on record and all of our golf course income has been affected right around the country. The ability to teach outside for long periods of time has been greatly reduced due to the weather and people are getting out of the habit of having lessons at their club if they dont have a range, covered bays or a swing room.
For us at golf driving bays this poor weather has meant a huge increase in enquiries for swing rooms and indoor/outdoor teaching bays which has led to us building 4 new developments.
The largest of which a large 3 bay development at The Wilmslow Golf Club due to be finished in mid August (pictures to follow). They have gone for 7m x 7m swing room for the Professional Matt Gillingham and 2 extra driving range bays for general members use including a toilet/wash room, ball machine dispenser and washer and 30 car, car park. This will really enhance what is already an outsstanding golf facility. (above)
Further to this a great success story is an indoor swing room that we built in just 2 days at Ashton in Makerfield Golf Club for Pro Peter Allan.(above) Peter has seen a huge rise in revenue from not only coaching but club sales due to having a fitting room with a GC2 launch monitor.
From this we have started relationships with Foresights Sports, Mia Sports and European Golf so we are now able to provide a club everything from the footings to the carpets, bulbs right up to the tees and the launch monitor etc etc..
